Professor Carlotta Coccoli is a Professor of Architectural Preservation at the University of Brescia in Italy. She is an expert in the restoration of monuments and holds a Ph.D. in Preservation of Architectural Heritage from the Politecnico di Milano. Her main area of research is the preservation of cultural legacy, especially architectural heritage, in times of armed conflict. In particular, she has focused on the structure of the ‘Subcommission for Monuments, Fine Arts, and Archives’ in Italy and Japan during the Second World War
