| Long abstract | This Open Textbook is intended for students, teachers, and educators interested in prevention and promoting public health or, briefly, health policymaking. The central idea is that health policymaking extends beyond applying empirical knowledge, encompassing political factors such as ideology, commercial interests, and power dynamics. Its main goal is to equip the reader with the skills to analyze health policymaking as a political process. |
