Mona Chettri is the co-founder of Reading Himalaya, a research and policy consultancy focusing on the eastern Himalayas. She is the author of Constructing Democracy: Ethnicity and Democracy in the Eastern Himalayan Borderland (Amsterdam University Press, 2017), and the co-editor of Development Zones in Asian Borderlands (Amsterdam University Press, 2021). Her current research focuses on Himalayan urbanisation, gender, and migration.
