Wanda Balcers is a postgraduate student of the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and has been a Research Fellow of the Fonds National de la Recherche scientifique (FNRS) in Belgium since 2008. She is currently working on her PhD thesis, dedicated to socio-economic and cultural aspects of the history of beer production and consumption in Brussels (1860–1914). (W. Chloé Deligne is a Research Associate of the Fonds National de la Recherche Scientifique (FNRS) in Belgium, working in the Department of History, Arts and Archaeology of the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB). As a historian, geographer and environmental scientist, she has dedicated several works to the history of water management in Belgium. (C. Deligne, Bruxelles et sa rivière.
