Moe Terao is a Research Fellow of the Centre for North East Asian Studies, Tohoku University. She has been studying rural society in western Mongolia, with a focus on ritual interactions held in wedding rituals or social interactions in visiting and receiving customs in people’s everyday lives. She is also keen to research the production and marketing of dairy and other livestock products in Western Mongolia, particularly analysing their work from a female or domestic perspective.
