Jó Klanovicz is professor of history at the Universidade Estadual do Centro-Oeste do Parana (Unicentro), Brazil, and CNPq Productivity Researcher . In 2017, he was visiting researcher at Freie University, Berlin. Since 2013 he has overseen the Center for Environmental History, Culture & Technology (CHAT-Unicentro). He advises masters and doctoral students in the Graduate Program in Community Development (Unicentro), and in the Graduate Program in History (Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina, UDESC). His research interests include agro-environmental history, Latin American environmental history, history of commodities, and environmental humanities. Currently, he coordinates a project on Agro-Environmental History of Apple Orchards and Climate Change, and a project on a multispecies history of bees and beekeeping. He is chief editor of Esboços: Histórias em Contextos Globais.
