Samira Peruchi Moretto is Professor at the Federal University of Fronteira SUL (UFFS) Santa Catarina, Brazil and a CNPq Productivity Researcher 2. She completed an MA (2010) in History and her Doctorate (2014) both at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC), Santa Catarina, Brazil. She advises master and doctorate students at the Graduate Program of History at Federal University of Fronteira Sul and at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. She researches and advises on Environmental History, domestication and introduction of plant species, deforestation, reforestation, landscape transformations, biodiversity conservation and history of the Brazilian Republic, with emphasis on the period from 1964 to recent times.
Eunice Sueli Nodari is a Full Professor at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC), Santa Catarina, Brazil and a CNPq Productivity Researcher 1D. She completed her MA (1992) in History at the University of California at Davis (CA), USA and her Doctorate at the Pontificia Universidade Catolica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUC/RS). She advises master and doctorate students at the Graduate Program of History and at the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Program in Human Sciences. For more than twenty years, Professor Nodari has been doing research on environmental history, with focus on transformation of the landscape, the devastation of Araucaria Forests, agriculture and migration and environmental disasters. She currently coordinates an international project on Environmental history of vitiviniculture in the Americas.
Rubens Onofre Nodari is Full Professor at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC), Santa Catarina, Brazil and a CNPq Productivity Researcher 1A. He completed his M. Sc. (1980) in Plant Breeding at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul and his Ph. D. in Genetics (1992) at University of California, Davis (CA), USA. In the Graduate Program on Plant Genetic Resources he advises M. Sc. and Ph. D. students and carries out research on plant genetics and breeding, conservation and use of plant genetic resources, organisation of the genetic variability of natural and experimental populations, biohazards and biosafety of genetically modified organisms and plant genomics/transcryptomics/proteomics.
