Rhuan Targino Zaleski Trindade holds a bachelors and a masters degree in History from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) and a Ph. D. in History from the Federal University of Parana (UFPR). He currently works as an adjunct at the Centro-Western State University (Unicentro), Irati Campus, lecturing in the bachelors program. The author has developed studies on immigration, colonisation and Polish ethnicity in Brazil, especially during the interwar period. He has authored several articles, and book chapters on several research themes, such as the introduction of soybeans in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, rural and peasant history, as well as on Polish-Brazilian relationships during the Vargas Era, with a focus on national and ethnic identities.
