(author)

Nelson Mandela, a Ugandan student at Moi University’s School of Education, is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in educational research and evaluation under a DAAD and CERM-ESA scholarship. He earned a master’s in Educational Research from Moi University in 2019 under a similar scholarship. Nelson’s research focuses on higher education engagement and climate change action, building on his master’s work on school-community engagement. His current research explores university community engagement opportunities to address climate change in Africa, aiming to guide African universities in integrating institutional contexts like history, culture, and indigenous knowledge into their climate change education strategies.
