Long abstractIn this chapter, the authors use a photograph and an audio podcast with a transcript to guide a multimodal reflection on the role of universities in the complex and diverse context offered by society at large. Through a body and mind experience, individuals are invited to close their eyes and immerse themselves in a relaxing activity that transports them into a mountainous landscape and ecosystem. The authors describe the landscape pictured in the photograph and guide listeners/readers through a high bird-eye view down to the details of the - sometimes lively, sometimes apparently quiet - ground-level life and features. The metaphor is meant to help ignite conversations around the meaning of “good” in the context of universities looking at them as part of a larger social ecosystem.
