Bruce Robertson is Professor Emeritus of the History of Art and Architecture, and Director Emeritus of the Art, Design & Architecture Museum, University of California, Santa Barbara. He is the author/curator of many books and exhibitions on American art, from the early 18th-century to the present.
Zhang Jian is a Professor in the School of Arts and Humanities at the China Academy of Art, Hangzhou, and was a Fulbright scholar in 2013–2014. He researches and teaches modern and contemporary art history and theory of historiography.
