| Long abstract | This chapter presents the results of a study that examined personality differences in a sample of music students (N = 246) with diverse vocal and instrumental skills. Personality data, measured with the Big Five Inventory (BFI), from voice, keyboard, string, and wind instrument students of the Academy of Music in Zagreb were analysed. The results indicate personality differences between different job specialisations among musicians, but they also suggest that the differences are limited to one personality trait, Openness. Individual differences in the other four personality traits were not found across music student groups. |
