Thoth Open Metadata offers automated dissemination solutions tailored to the needs of open access publishers, ensuring your publications reach a wider audience with ease.
Our automated distribution workflows streamline the dissemination of your publications to multiple platforms, indexes, and aggregators, allowing you to focus on producing quality content while we handle the logistics of reaching a wider audience. Our distribution network seeks to cover the many aspects of dissemination that publishers would want to cover, including:
- Registration of DOIs;
- Submission of files and metadata to key aggregators, including the OAPEN Library, JSTOR**, Project MUSE*, Google Books, and EBSCOHost;
- Sending of metadata to open access book indexes, including the Directory of Open Access Books (DOAB), ProQuest Ebook Central, EBSCOHost Knowledge Base, Clarivate Web of Science Book Citation Index, Jisc NBK, and OCLC Knowledge Base;
- Open archiving of a publisher’s contributions to the scholarly record.
Submission of data to third-party platforms is subject to the publisher meeting the respective platform's inclusion criteria. We will support publishers with onboarding to each of the platforms and subsequently handle automatic distribution following successful set-up of connections.
Publishers can either select individual titles from their catalogue to send through Thoth’s workflows, or opt in to bulk dissemination of any forthcoming open access titles they publish.
